Hi all,
we'd like to explain why sometimes (such as right now) you see lots of threads showing up under Recent Posts but when you look at the discussion thread there is no recent post. This happens when a post has been detected as spam and is automatically unpublished (and believe us, this is a GOOD thing!).
What's not so good is that the unpublished post/comment fools the Recent Posts function. I'm sure there'll be an enhancement to fix this at some point, but for now that's how it is (we rely on the CMS software that powers this site).
Also, we'll soon be switching off anonymous posting.
I am pleased to announce that the February release of FDDManager, which includes the following enhancements, is now available for download.
* Database Version.
* Web Portal.
* Enterprise Summary Screen.
* More Print Options.
For more details, or to download, please visit www.fddmanager.com.
I've been using FddTools for a project. I really like the simplicity of the tool (since I'm using FDD on a relatively small project). But there doesn't seem to be much activity at fddtools.sourceforge.net
I just looked at FDD Project Management Application and it seems to be a great tool, though a little heavyweight for what I'm doing now.
What is everyone else using? Are the "pure" FDD tools worth supporting? Or are spreadsheets and conventional PM tools sufficient?
Dear all,
I plan to go for the FDD certificates at mid-year and would like to know what you think of passing the OCUP exams as a kind of preparation for the FDD cert. Look at OCUP for more information. However I will definitely go for FDD but depending on what you say here, I may decide not to do any of the OCUP certifications.
So, maybe some of you know about the OCUP and can give me a clearer picture.
Thanks,
darya
Hi all,
I've been using FDD for some time and it has worked for me (I'm not using it currently due to some organization constraints).
The question I have is regarding testing. Within the scope of BBF there is a milestone dedicated to testing before promote to build. Unit testing seams to be an ideal fit to this. The problem I have is that for integration testing this "slot" seams inadequate. I would like to know how other have fit Integration Testing into this methodology.
Best regards,
Nuno Lopes
Hi everyone,
I'm currently working on a Masters degree, and part of my thesis is going to be an investigation into the preceived failures of agile methodologies from the software development team perspective.
I'm interested in what your views on this are.
Having used FDD a bit, I haven't noted any specific failings, but there are (to me, at least) some very problematic areas in implementing XP, especially from my perspective as a business analyst.
Any help would be awesome.
Thanks
Dominic
When performing process 1 - Develop an overall model - it is advised (..mandated?! :o) to model the underlying domain, bounded by a scope, where 'requirements are a depth check or a validity check of the shape within the scope'. I want to check some of the assumptions about this activity and question the thinking when hit by BPR.
I have been using RUP for the past 3 years and have joined a company that uses FDD. My problem is, I do not know how to approach FDD. I tried reading documents from nebulon web site but I am still not clear.
Can you use UML in FDD ? If yes which diagrams would you use in different stages ?
What actions or steps will you take when you
1. Plan by Feature
2. Design by Feature
3. Build by Feature
Are there any people who are proponents or practitioners of FDD (or adapters of some elements of the FDD process) close to the Atlanta, GA area? I'm interested in any experiences with this methodology.
